The Society welcomes Manpreet Nigah as our new Acting Education Coordinator.
Manpreet will be taking over Bree Greve's position as Education Coordinator when Bree goes on maternity leave in the next few months.
Manpreet comes to us from Chandigarh, India via Winnipeg, Manitoba. After she obtained her Masters in International Business, Manpreet worked for the Punjab State Council for Science and Technology. While there she worked on pollution issues and helped organize environmental science training for teachers.
Since coming to Canada, Manpreet has volunteered with the Manitoba Eco-network where she organized environmental awareness in the community and facilitated discussions on climate change.
Manpreet will be responsible for organizing our field trips, overseeing our summer day camps and our other related education programs and activities.
Manpreet can give tours of the Delta Nature Reserve in English, Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu. If your organization is interested in something a little different, give her at call at 604.572.0373
