September 21, 2008 - SUNDAY - JOG FOR THE BOG - Trail Run/Walk - 6500 Westview Drive, Westview Park - Registration at 8:00 AM.

August 4, 2008 - Monday - 11am - Spiritual Vigil to St Mungo's Site - In response to moves by Gordon Campbell and Kevin Falcon to destroy internationally significant First Nations Sacred Sites for the South Fraser Perimeter Road truck highway, a spiritual and scientific vigil will be held on BC Day, August 4 th, 2008, a day on which the Campbell government will spend $millions celebrating 150 years of white settlement.

July 26 & 27, 2008 - INTERNATIONAL BOG DAYS - 10388 Nordel Court - International Bog Days are a great opportunity to tour the Bog, enjoy local performances, and check out interactive exhibits.

  • On Saturday, July 26th, there will be tours of Burns Bog from 10:00am-3:00pm.
  • On Sunday, July 27th from 10:00am-4:00pm, enjoy live entertainment from Yuca, Tiller's Folly, and other great local artists. There will also be a kid's' adventure tent, snacks, exhibits, and additional bog tours at this free community festival. Sunday, May 10, 2008 - Spirit of Delta Rally - 3pm at South Delta Secondary School - B.C. and Washington State residents are encouraged to attend this rally (no‐cost) to show their spirit and tenacity to stop the first in a series of destructive changes; the erection of the 120 foot high steel tower and
industrial power‐line canopy over Tsawwassen that is planned to kill thousands of US migratory birds. The 2 hour rally, will feature the War Birds Air Show, live performances, moderated by internationally acclaimed comedian Billy Mitchell. Critical updates from experts on obliteration of the Tsawwassen skyline, and its effect of deadly impacts to United States migratory birds will be provided.

Thursday, May 7, 2008 - 7pm - 9pm: BOOK LAUNCH - Boglin Gets Lost and Boglin and the Birthday Party by Pamela Findling and Nicole Skutelink. These are two children's books about the boglins, a baby bear, and adventures in the bog. George Mackie Library, 8440 112 Street, Delta

Sunday, April 27th, 2008 - Delta's Earth Day Celebration at Delta's Municipal Hall, 1:30pm-4pm, guest speakers, displays, 4500 Clarence Taylor Crescent, Delta.

April 19th, 2008 - Bring your old used batteries to Surrey's Environmental Extravaganza, Bear Creek Park, 13720-88 Avenue, Surrey. Look for the MagnaCharge Battery Corp's truck. Drop off your batteries, enjoy the festivities and MagnaCharge will donate part of the proceeds to the Society.

Haunted Hallowe’en Garden - October 29-31, 2007
Co-hosted by Burns Bog Conservation Society and DRS Earthwise Society.
A fun and safe place for families with young kids to celebrate Hallowe'en-the Boundary Bay Earthwise Garden will be full of ghosts and goblins, tricks and treats and live entertainment including Bonkers musical performer and a children's storyteller.
