September 21, 2008 - SUNDAY - JOG FOR THE BOG - Trail Run/Walk We would like to thank everybody that participated in the 10th annual Jog for the Bog. With the support of sponsors, volunteers, participants and organizers, the Burns Bog Conservation Society was able to raise thousands of dollars towards educational programs. We look forward to seeing everybody again next year!

August 4, 2008 - Monday - 11am - Spiritual Vigil to St Mungo's Site - In response to moves by Gordon Campbell and Kevin Falcon to destroy internationally significant First Nations Sacred Sites for the South Fraser Perimeter Road truck highway, a spiritual and scientific vigil will be held on BC Day, August 4 th, 2008, a day on which the Campbell government will spend $millions celebrating 150 years of white settlement.

July 26 & 27, 2008 - INTERNATIONAL BOG DAYS - 10388 Nordel Court - International Bog Days are a great opportunity to tour the Bog, enjoy local performances, and check out interactive exhibits.

  • On Saturday, July 26th, there will be tours of Burns Bog from 10:00am-3:00pm.
  • On Sunday, July 27th from 10:00am-4:00pm, enjoy live entertainment from Yuca, Tiller's Folly, and other great local artists. There will also be a kid's' adventure tent, snacks, exhibits, and additional bog tours at this free community festival. Wetland Adventures Summer Day Camp – July through August 2007
GET BOGGY!  The Burns Bog Conservation Society offers a fun and educational summer Day Camp in the Delta Nature Reserve.  Children age 6-12 are invited to experience the wonders of our wetlands as they learn about bog plants and animals and the role bogs play in our environment.  Activities include nature exploration, first aid training, crafts, games, science experiments, wilderness survival and much more!  For rates, dates and sponsorship opportunities call 604.572.0373. International Bog Day - July 29, 2007

"The Bog Expedition" - Summer Day Camps
Fun weeklong day camps for children on all ages. Dates will run from the last 3 weeks of July and the first 3 weeks of August. Learn about the bog, make new friends and experience nature outdoors during the summer holidays.
