Politicians have only as much power as you choose to give them. Empower your politicians with the knowledge of issues that are important to you. Write a letter letting them know what they need to do to protect Burns Bog.
The most current issues relating to Burns Bog are the South Fraser Perimeter Road, GVRD Burns Bog Management Plan and RAMSAR and/or UNESCO designation for the Bog.

South Fraser Perimeter Road
The South Fraser Perimeter Road (SFPR) is a billion dollar freeway running along the south side of the Fraser River from Deltaport Way in Southwest Delta to 176th Street (Hwy 15) in Surrey. This freeway will run along the edges of Burns Bog, disrupting the natural hydrology and hydrochemistry, and destroying and fragmenting wildlife and their habitat. Click here to learn more. There are alternatives to this road and location.

What is your opinion? Let us and the politicians know how you feel.
