Peaceful Valley Greetings

GET INVOLVED!

The Burns Bog Conservation Society needs your help to carry out its programs. This includes providing facilities for public enjoyment (the boardwalks in the Delta Nature Reserve is an example), providing education (this includes bog-related educational material, field trips, summer day camps and public displays) and raising public awareness about current issues relating to peatlands, especially Burns Bog.

What you can do:

Welcome to Burns Bog Project

No experience required!  But if you have any expertise in the following areas, it will be appreciated. Lots of fresh air and exercise guaranteed.

Help:

  • Build more boardwalks to protect the Bog in the Delta Nature Reserve
  • Pull invasive plants to protect and encourage the growth of native bog plants
  • Conduct wildlife surveys
  • Showcase native bog plants
  • Vegetation surveying

Contact: Bree at 604.572.0373 and sign up.
