Politicians need to know how you feel about issues relating to Burns Bog. The most current issues relating to Burns Bog are:
- the South Fraser Perimeter Road which will impact on Burns Bog
- The GVRD Management Plan and
- the development of an interpretive centre managed by the Burns Bog Conservation Society.

Check out the South Delta Leader and the Delta Optimist’s websites for up to date notices on meetings and events relating to the South Fraser Perimeter Road.
Send a letter to your local member of Parliament (it’s postage free) and your local M.L.A. (it’s not postage free). Let them know that you want them to look at alternate routes.
GVRD Burns Bog Management Plan Update
Watch the GVRD website at www.gvrd.bc.ca for updates on the Burns Bog Management Plan. Request a copy of the latest GVRD Parks update. Let your local politicians feel about proposed lack of public education, public facilities and public access to Burns Bog. We support controlled access, education and an interpretive centre.
Burns Bog Interpretive Centre
In 2004 shortly after the purchase of the 5000+ acres of Burns Bog, the Society sent out 30,000 surveys to Delta residents. Only 3% of the respondents opposed an interpretive centre.
